The Cleveland Browns are reportedly not 100% on taking Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett with the first overall pick. Insiders are saying that the team is also looking at North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky, whose draft stock has been rising the past couple of weeks.
LOOK HOW BIG THIS (starting to think he might not even be a) HUMAN IS!!!
The man is a physical specimen: 6’4, 272 pounds. Believe it or not, he is also pretty athletic, too. #15 ran a 4.64 in the 40, threw up 33 reps on the bench press, and put up a 41-inch vertical jump at this year’s NFL Combine.
And wouldn’t you know, he’s also a pretty good football player on top of the insane athletic build and abilities. Garrett tallied 141 tackles, 47 of those for loss, with 31 of those being sacks in his three years playing for the Aggies.
With all of this, I can’t see why the Browns wouldn’t consider taking a relatively short quarterback who only started one full season in college, in which he led his team to a mediocre 8-5 record, and took 98% of his snaps from the shotgun over him. (A lot of sarcasm in that sentence).
I’m honest-to-God hoping that Cleveland can make the right choice for once here so they can begin to dig thems out of the almost unending hole they are in and ultimately, not suck so bad.
