Breaking: Nikola Mirotic Is A Child, Returns To Practice But Won’t Talk To Bobby Portis1 min read
Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic returned to practice for the first time since eating a Bobby Portis punch on October 17, resulting in a concussion and broken bones in his face. Portis received an eight game suspension as a result, with many speculating that either Portis or Mirotic would be cut or traded soon after. Mirotic has requested multiple times through his agents to not be anywhere near Portis, something he somehow managed to do when he worked out and practiced with the team yesterday. Executive vice president and 1/2 of the famously miserable Bulls front office duo John Paxon said that Mirotic has been allowed to work out outside of the Bulls facilities since he is “still under contract” (huh?).
C’mon, Niko. Be a professional for once, FOR ONCE! I know what Bobby Portis did was the complete opposite of being a professional, but that doesn’t mean you have the right to act like an absolute child as a result. Mirotic’s actions since this whole thing went down only proves what I’ve thought about him pretty much his entire career, and that is that he just really doesn’t wanna be here. He has NEVER played with any urgency or passion. He is of course a skilled player, but he has no drive to be anything close to great in the NBA, so much so that he is more than willing to leave and just go back to Spain at this point. Unbelievable. The Bulls are such a complete travesty right now, I don’t know if I can stomach any more mediocrity the rest of this season, which is going to be a TALL task as we have only just begun. #SEERED #FIREGARPAX
