Let Me B-Frank Podcast: August 16th

This week’s episode features a return from the early days of the LMBF podcast, with Nick joining B-Frank in the studio. The guys discuss Zeke’s suspension, rookie QBs, and the Bears kicker dilemma, they break down the baseball playoff race, and discuss the Golf majors/Tiger’s DUI. Top 5 is biggest reliefs and the stats feature baseball, while the Tweets of the week bring back a recurring part of the program and (we hope) listener of the show, Lane Kiffin.   http://media.blubrry.com/let_me_b_frank/p/www.letmebfrankblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Let-Me-B-Frank-8-16.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | DownloadSubscribe: Android | RSS Advertisements Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in...

Marvin Bagley III Picks Duke

Coach K has done it again. He lands the top 2018 recruit AND Bagley decides to reclassify to 2017 and join the already star-studded group in Durham. Bagley joins the previously #2 ranked recruiting class, his addition takes Duke over the top. This is the third time in four years that Duke has landed the top recruiting class and the third time they’ve landed the #1 recruit (2014 Jahlil Okafor and 2016 Harry Giles). For a man who doesn’t like the one-and-done format, Coach K sure as hell has taken advantage of it. And for good reason, just because...

Bears Claim Kicker Roberto Aguayo

In a surprising move this weekend, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers parted ways with former 2nd round pick Roberto Aguayo out of Florida State, after he had a dismal rookie season converting on just 71% of his field goal attempts and 32 of 34 PATs. To make room for Aguayo, the Bears put veteran receiver Reuben Randal on the IR. Aguayo will compete with Connor Barth for the starting job in Chicago, a notoriously difficult stadium to kick in. Both have had their struggles as Barth hit just 78% of his field goal attempts last season. The kicking situation is laughable...

Let’s Pump The Brakes on Mitch(ell) Trubisky

The ever important first preseason game has come and gone and the Chicago Bears are 0-1 and did not look good doing it. The first team offense was inept, throwing a pick 6 and snapping the ball over 6-foot-7 Mike Glennon's head for two first half turnovers. The defense picked up what seemed like 1,000 penalties on the opening drive (it was really 6), but showed some signs of life, specifically Leonard Floyd. In the 2nd half, Mitch(ell) was given his chance to shine and by every measurable he played well. He finished up the game 18-25 for 166...

Countdown to College Football: Coaches on the Hot Seat

In case you missed it, Parts 1 & 2 are out in preparation for the start of College Football season, part 1 focused on quarterbacks and part 2 on running backs. This week, we will focus on coaches in the hot seat, vote for who you think has the hottest seat at the bottom! Brian Kelly – Notre Dame There’s no way around it, Brian Kelly’s seat in South Bend is scorching after a 4-8 season last year. That 4-8 record included losses to Duke (at home), North Carolina State, and Navy. Inexcusable with the talent he had. This...
