1920: Suzanne Lenglen becomes the 1st player to win three titles at Wimbledon in a single year, winning the women’s singles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles tournaments.

1995: NBA owners create the first work stoppage in league history, locking out the players’ union.

1998: NBA owners lock out the players’ union for a second time, causing the 1998-1999 season to be shortened to 50 games.
