What to Watch Olympics Day 7

Thursday August 11th

Track Cycling and Fencing 5pm/4c CNBC

Track cycling, the sport where the athletes wear the predator looking helmets and fly around the velodrome. The British typically dominate the sport and I don’t expect that to change this Olympics. Fencing continues with medals being awarded in the Women’s team epee.

Table Tennis and Volleyball (USA v Brazil) 8pm/7c NBCSN

Men’s medal round will take place in one of the greatest sports to watch in the Olympics. The skill level of these guys is off the charts, they stand upwards of 15 feet away from the table and perfectly place the ball wherever they want. USA Men’s volleyball is off to a horrendous 0-2 start and the road doesn’t get easier as they take on host and gold medal favorite Brazil. The only way the US stands a chance is if they can drastically cut down on the unforced errors, specifically missed serves. It is amateur hour watching how many serves this team has missed, absolutely infuriating.

Women’s Individual All-Around Gymnastics 8pm/7c NBC

An American will win, we know this much. After dominating the rest of the competition in the team event, Simone Biles and Aly Raisman will battle it out to become the 4th straight American to take home the gold in the event. Biles is the heavy favorite, but if there is one thing we have learned it is that Raisman is an absolute gamer. She comes to play and goes big, my prediction is Biles and Raisman go 1-2 and it will be VERY close. Please keep in mind that the gymnastics is taped to delay so if you do not want the results spoiled stay off the internet!!! (Except for this site, we won’t ruin it for you)

People forget: Gordon Bombay only coached the Ducks because it was a court order.
