Europeans Storm Back to End Friday Down 5-3

The Americans got off to a dream start taking a commanding 4-0 lead and had a chance to bury the Euros early but McIlroy and company played a dominant afternoon session to shrink the US lead. The only win for the Americans in the afternoon was Brandt Snedeker and Brooks Koepka who looked really good against Martin Kaymer and Danny Willett. Through the entirety of Friday, no match made it to the 17th hole. There really were not many close matches all day but there were some great moments from Hazletine. First and foremost, the crowd is absolutely electric...

Fenwick Football Takes On Marmion As They Continue The Campaign to Champaign

The fearsome Fenwick Friars head out to Aurora to take on Marmion Academy. Coming off of a hard played, tough loss to Loyola, I can guarantee that Fenwick is out for blood. QB Jacob Keller is already starting to see some offers come so you know that the Friars have some serious talent under center. Expect deep connections between him and WR Mike O’Laughlin. CCL football don’t do things easy and the front 5 likes to play rough. Look for Conner Lillig to exploit big holes and grind it out. A gun shy Fenwick might want to keep the...

The 76ers Have Cursed Big Men

Photo Credit: NBA Joel Embiid has missed his first two NBA seasons after a slew of injuries. Nerlens Noel missed his rookie season after tearing his ACL in Kentucky. They employed Andrew Bynum. Don’t go bowling with that guy. Well, those two are now healthy, and the Sixers had the first overall pick in the draft. They selected Ben Simmons. Ben Simmons has fracture in his right foot. Further details coming. — Bob Cooney (@BobCooney76) September 30, 2016 Holy shit. This organization is cursed. Every big they take is fragile. Their big men go down earlier than a prom...

USA Sweeps Morning Takes 4-0 Lead

The Americans came out hot on a chilly day in Minnesota, as the team swept Europe in the morning session. It is the first time since 1975 that a team has swept the morning session and only the third time ever. Both previous times were done by the United States in 1975 and 1947, they went on to win the Cup. This is the exact start the Americans needed as they’re looking to break the Europeans’ win streak at 3. After their morning win, Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed have 3.5 points as a duo, which is tied for...

Week 4 Fantasy Football Preview

Former defensive player of the year and avid PETA supporter, J.J. Watt, broke his back and is out for the year. This reminds me of another superstar athlete and PETA supporter who had some back problems back in his day. This man’s name is Sammy Sosa. Sammy hurt his back in May of 2004. He had been suffering from some absolutely BRUTAL seasonal allergies. Sosa threw out his back while having a “violent sneeze attack”. Basically, he went through the same injury as J.J. The only difference is that Slammin’ Sammy returned to the Cubs lineup in about a month, whereas J.J. is out for the entire YEAR. It really...
