Week 9 NFL Picks
We’ve done it, folks. The first 5-0 week! Let’s ride the hot hand here and keep it going. Not a huge fan of this week’s slate of games but the show must go on.

Side note: Yes, I did lose the survivor game, which is why I have my rule in the first place of never betting on or against the Bears.
Last Week: 5-0 (0-1)
Overall: 24-7 (3-3)
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants OVER 43
The Giants are coming off a bye week and the Eagles a disappointing OT loss at Dallas. Both teams have the capability to break-out this week on offense. The Eagles have shown that they can put up points and the Giants, when Odell isn’t bitching, can also score. Add on that they are playing against defenses that are prone to giving up big point totals and this seems like an easy one.
Dallas Cowboys -7.5 at Cleveland Browns
Love this pick, the over at 48.5 is also tempting but I am going to hold off. Cleveland’s defense is not very good and Dak and Zeke should be able to run wild. Cleveland has had a surprisingly good offense this season and the biggest key is to see if Dallas can shut them down.
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins OVER 44
“Life is too short to bet the under” has been my saying all year, but this might be the game where it bites me in the ass. The Jets are coming off a win against the Browns and the Phins have 2 straight wins and the bye week. Both teams have weak defenses with running backs that are well positioned for huge games.
Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Rams OVER 45
I am officially buying back in on the Panthers, mainly their offense. Arizona is a good team and 20 points is not bad but they’ve been shredded so many times this season that it could happen again. Throw in Jeff “.500” Fisher with a team at 3-4 and this is a recipe for a shootout. Cam needs a big game and I think he gets it here.
Indianapolis Colts at Green Bay Packers -7
The Colts are not a good football team outside of Andrew Luck. While the Packers have had injuries in the secondary, the return of Aaron Rodgers is all I needed to see to know that he can cover this spread and overcome any defensive shortcomings.
Survivor Pick: Dallas Cowboys
Not sure why I even make these anymore, most survivor pools are over, but here it is anyways. Dallas gets a treat heading to Cleveland, who as I have stated many times, I think are better than their record shows. Despite that fact, this is not the week they get their first win.
