Playing For Pride, Huskers at Home Against Minnesota
Nebraska has had one hell of a year so far, one that a lot of people (myself included) did not see coming. This team has faced a lot of adversity, both on the field and off the field, having to deal with the loss of punter Sam Foltz in the offseason. The Huskers did indeed break the top 10 this year for the first time in a long time, something that is not only great for the school but for the entire state and ultimately, for the Big Ten. 2 tough back-to-back losses might take the wind of some team’s sails but not Big Red. This group of guys has worked too hard, exceeded too many expectations, and played with too much heart to just go quietly into the night. Minnesota is good team, I had to triple check that they are indeed 7-2, so this isn’t a cupcake game like the first half of the season was. This is going to be knock down, drag out, Big Ten West brawl and I for one can’t wait. Big things are happening in Lincoln, the wheels of change are turning.
Go Big Red (and to a lesser extent, Go Blue because Iuck Fowa)
