Alshon Jeffery Suspended 4 Games

Chicago wide receiver Alshon Jeffery was suspended 4 games today for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy. And the shit show in Chicago continues. The Bears are coming off of one of the most embarrassing loses I have ever seen, 36-10 in Tampa. Jay did not play well and the defense got absolutely torched. Absolutely nothing went well and this team seems to have quit. The bright spot is that the draft pick looks to be getting better and better.

But back to the matter at hand, what an absolutely moronic thing to do. He is an upcoming free agent and you have to wonder how this will affect Alshon’s stock and/or his bargaining power when it comes to negotiations. Getting busted for PEDs is arguably the biggest bone head move there is, however, as we’ve seen in baseball, fools like this still seem to get their pay-day. I think this, along with his mindset, will spell the end of Alshon in Chicago. He will be allowed to play and practice with the team following their December 11th game against Detroit and I would absolutely expect him to play the rest of the year, but that will be it for his time here.

People forget: Gordon Bombay only coached the Ducks because it was a court order.
