Jurgen Klinnsman Era is Over

Jurgen Klinnsman, the man who has been in charge of U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) since 2011 was let go today. It doesn’t really come as a surprise after a very unimpressive start to the Hexagonal Stage of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. After losing to Mexico 2-1 and Costa Rica  4-0 it appears that the U.S. Soccer Federation has finally had enough of its Manager and Technical Director. Now, in my humble opinion, it was time for Klinnsman to go as technical director and manager of the USMNT. While our senior squad made some pretty good strides during Klinnsman’s...

Is HBO’s Westworld the best new TV series out there?

HBO introduced their newest Sunday night prime-time series in early October. The TV series is called “Westworld” and is a futuristic, Sci-Fi thriller. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a show as thought provoking as the first season of Westworld. In brief, Westworld showcases a futuristic company that created a western themed world occupied by human like ‘robots’. The simulated world was created to act as an alternate, ‘no rules’ reality in which rich playboys can pay huge sums of money to enter the park and essentially do as they please. IMDb gave the new series a tremendously positive rating of...

Top 10 Hoopmixtapes of All Time

America’s favorite pastime; the hoopmixtape. Nothing better than 3:30 of dunks and blocks with a sick beat in the background. If you haven’t looked up and realized you have spent the past 45 minutes watching random highlights when you were supposed to be studying for a test you haven’t lived and I don’t trust you as a human. Honorable Mention: Just saw this the yesterday, s/o to LT hoops. LT Weirdos for life. They did say “welcome to the Lions Den”, which is kinda fucked up, but whatever. Also, I feel like I know the Lyons Township area fairly...

Rondo Holding The Bulls Back

The Chicago Bulls have been playing way above expectations this season, going 9-5 so far, and are currently 3-1 (Should be 4-0, BS call on Jimmy lost them the Clippers game) on their annual circus road trip. One of the biggest reasons for the team’s success is that Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler have both improved their 3pt% dramatically; Jimmy bumping his percentage up to 41.7% from 31.2% last season, and Wade shooting 37.8% while being a career 28.7% shooter from beyond the arc. But you know who still can’t shoot? Rajon Rondo, who is shooting 25% from three,...
