LMBF WrestleMania Preview (Raw Card)6 min read
Tomorrow is the big day, and with that, also the day for Raw to take back the spot as the top show on WWE TV. With so many matches that could pay-off in so many different ways, this is likely to be a great show. With that being said, here are my picks.
2017 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (pre-show)
I mean this is just kind of the battle of the misfits, but I think it would be insane for WWE not to just let Braun Strowman kill everybody and be unstoppable. Just do anything but give it to Big Show, all I ask is that they use it to build someone up. With that being said I think it is a no brainer for Braun Strowman to get this W.
Winner: Braun Strowman
Neville (c) vs. Austin Aries (Cruiserweight Championship)
I really like this matchup a lot but unfortunately it is still too early in Neville’s run as the “King of The Cruiserweights” for Aries to take the title from him. I really would like to see Neville hold the strap for at least a year, just to really solidify him as a force in that division. I love what Aries brings to the table but I think Neville needs to get this win, in what will be a fantastic match, one of many high-profile meetings between these two men.
Luke Gallows (c) and Karl Anderson vs. Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Enzo and Cass (WWE Raw Tag Team Championships)
Two ways you can go on this. They finally put the strap on Enzo and Cass and let them have their moment in front of an enormous crowd, and it is Mania, so Vince is more prone to letting the face go over. But… I really hope that is not the way they go, I really hope they use this mania to let The Club take over. Let them stay strong and eventually when Balor comes back let them join forces and run roughshod on Monday Night.
Winner: Gallows & Anderson
Bayley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax (WWE Raw Women’s Championship)
Kind of upset about this one, they got too many women intertwined with the title. Now I get it, they want to showcase them all on the mainstage of WrestleMania, but I would’ve rather them not rush Bayley getting the title and instead saved her getting the title at Mania. But you can’t always get what you want so the second-best move would definitely be to let Charlotte keep her incredible PPV record together and turn Sasha on Bayley at the end of the match and maybe we see Sasha go BOSSmode all summer and maybe even join Triple H’s heel faction that he is starting to create. That’s the one good thing about a fatal 4, but since it is elimination, my best guess is that Nia Jax goes first then Sasha gets “jipped” which pisses her off, eventually leading to her interfering so Bayley loses to Charlotte. Sasha gets to turn heel and be “The Boss”, Charlotte gets to be the top woman, and this all culminates at Summer Slam where Sasha goes on her own little run.
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Kevin Owens (WWE United States Championship)
I’ll mark out here, but Kevin Owens is my favorite wrestler out there right now. He constantly makes chicken salad out of chicken shit. He stepped up and carried Raw on his back for half a year after the golden child, Finn Balor went on the shelf. Even something like his “match” with Goldberg at Fastlane last month, he got squashed but honestly made it look good. With his squirmy heel tendencies and the way he sold that distraction from Jericho, he ALMOST made it worth it, even though he had to drop the strap. But Jericho is a massive reason for the success of Owens run as the top guy of the Red Brand, their friendship and eventual breakup was incredible TV and makes this match still have a ton of meaning although the Universal Title isn’t in the picture anymore. With that though, Jericho is taking time off after Mania, probably touring with that band of his, so I see Owens going over in what will be an incredible Match of the Night candidate.
Winner: Kevin Owens
Seth Rollins vs. Triple H
I mean this has to be where Finn Balor comes back right? As a heel to help Trips and take back his spot as the top guy in the company? I mean come on I need that yesterday. There would be nothing that would make me happier than Balor coming back as a heel to feud against Rollins all summer while being the leader of this heel faction that Triple H is building, almost a new age Evolution if you will. This could be huge and I really need to see Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, and whoever turns up to join forces with them run all over everyone this summer.
Winner: Triple H
The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
All I need with this match is for Roman to go full heel. I don’t need any specific way, I simply need to see Undertaker leave beloved and Roman Reigns to come off as the most arrogant disgusting heel after Sunday night. Please. Pretty Please. Since they probably want to keep Undertaker’s record intact, and not give him another loss. I say Taker wins but then just when you think Reigns and him shake hands at the end, Roman Reigns absolutely dismantles the Dead Man. It may be the last we see of Taker, but I think it would be a wonderful way for this match to end.
Winner: The Undertaker
Goldberg (c) vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE Universal Championship)
So apparently, it’s not going to be the main event anymore with the Reigns/Undertaker match as the likely match to go on last, with that being said it makes even more sense now that it is going to be another squash match. Either that or they are pulling a Hogan/Warrior WrestleMania 6 move and have been rehearsing the match for the last 3 months and thus makes for an incredible match. I don’t know how likely that would be but really, I would be ok with either, as long as Lesnar goes over.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
