After Dylan KKKKKKKKKovey’s (against the Padres at least) start came to an early end against the Diamondbacks due to injury/being generally wildly out of his league in the MLB, many speculated we would finally see some of our prized prospects in Chicago for one of the games of Friday’s doubleheader. Would it be Reynaldo Lopez, who has come on strong of late? Carson Fulmer, who has already seen action in Chicago and has looked very improved this season? Or maybe an extra bullpen arm, preferably the pro ready Zach Burdi?
Not quite. Instead, Rick Hahn and the braintrust chose to keep the bubble wrap on our prospects, and are giving us Tyler Danish, the Sox 2nd round selection in 2013 (Tim Anderson draft). Danish, who got completely shelled as a 21 year old last year when he was inexplicably called up for like 2 weeks, has supposedly changed up his approach, but still remains a small righty with a funkier deliver and a lot of sinkers. Lets hope the 2nd time around goes better, as any young interesting prospect every 5th day would be well received over 40% of our starts being made by Covey and Big Pelf. Go get em, Tyler.
