Lonzo Ball is a Los Angeles Laker1 min read
Woj Bomb Season is in full effect. Didn’t even hear a whisper about the Lakers and Nets making a trade and the boom.
Lakers are trading Tim Mozgov and D'Angelo Russell to Nets for Brook Lopez and 27th pick Thursday, sources say.

This trade makes it pretty clear the Lakers will be selecting UCLA’s Lonzo Ball with the 2nd pick overall and heading into the future with him as their franchise star. The Russell-Ball pairing was always a weird one and the Lakers instead decided to just go ahead with Ball and use Russell to clear cap space. Getting Brook Lopez in return in a year where you don’t want to take anyways is a pretty solid move too. Plus, his contract expires after the year, leaving them the cap space needed to add a certain Paul George. The 2018 Lakers of Ball-Clarkson-Ingram-PG13-Randle and a center should be quite fun. All aboard the Lakers train.
BIG BALLERS ONLY!
