The Yankees have made their blockbuster move at the trade deadline. With Michael Pineda going down for the season and Masahiro Tanaka’s struggles, it was inevitable that the surging-again Yankees were going to make a starting move for pitching.

Sonny Gray is a great gamble for New York. Although losing Jorge Mateo stings, the Yankees held onto their top-five prospects in the system, which includes Clint Frazier and Gleyber Torres.
The AL East race between Boston, New York, and hey, maybe even Tampa Bay, should be a doozy.
