Week 15 NFL Picks3 min read
It was a tough week, but smokin’ Jay Cutler didn’t let us down and beat the Pats outright. New Orleans was a tough loss with Kamara going down early and Garoppolo was solid against Houston with Tom Savage nearly dying on the field.
- Last Week: 2-3
- Overall: 37-31-2
- Los Angeles Chargers -1.5 at Kansas City Chiefs
I have completely bought the Chargers bandwagon and am riding the rocket arm of Phillip Rivers to the promised land. They’ve won 4 straight and just blew out the R-words at home. The defense is playing at a different level and this game could very well decide the AFC West. KC picked up a win that they needed desperately against the Raiders, but I don’t think they are at a point where their offense can outdo the LA defense.
- Green Bay Packers +3 at Carolina Panthers
Aaron Rodgers is back and Green Bay is going to run the table and make the playoffs, ruining football for me for yet another season. I cannot stand how predictable this story is, Rodgers gets hurt, injury time is unknown, has surgery and gets put on the IR, heals in time to make a playoff run and then win a few games in the playoffs. Carolina has been resurgent this year, but this is simply a man of destiny, there is no stopping Aaron Rodgers as he will gash the Panthers’ defense for 3 TDs.
- Cincinnati Bengals at Minnesota Vikings -11
Case Keenum is quarterbacking a 10-3 playoff bound team. What a world we live in here in 2017. The Vikes dropped a tough game at Carolina last week after rattling off 8 straight. The Bengals lost at home by 26 to the Chicago Bears…this should be an easy blowout win for Minnesota, hell Teddy Bridgewater might see some time in this one.
- New England Patriots -3 at Pittsburgh Steelers
Tom Brady and the Pats losing was so awesome for this line. Vegas has to take that into account and that is why the Patriots are only 3-point favorites at Pittsburgh. The Steelers defense STINKS, they cannot stop anyone and are incredibly fortunate to have a bevy of playmakers on the offensive end. New England’s defense isn’t much better, but (Jay Cutler >) Tom Brady > Ben Roethlisberger. Tom might throw for 500 yards, the over would also be a good play here too.
- Dallas Cowboys at Oakland Raiders +3
Dallas picked up back-to-back blowout wins over shitty divisional opponents to stay alive in the playoff race. They have a very tough finish to the season with Oakland and Philly on the road and a home game against Seattle. They need at least 2 of those to be in the hunt for a wildcard and I don’t think this is one of them. Oakland is also still in the hunt and can win their division. There is no doubt the Raiders have been struggling against decent and better teams, but this is now or never for Jack Del Rio’s squad. A loss here essentially ends their season.
