17 Year Old Red Gerard Wins Olympic Gold, Has The Coolest Name of All Time1 min read
17 year old Red Gerard started off the medal count for the US, winning gold in the men’s slopestyle on his third and final run after sitting in last place for the majority of the competition. The win came over superstars Max Parrot and Mark McMorris, who won silver and gold respectively.
Red made even more headlines through his family apparently getting absolutely trashed before and after his historic win, cementing him as one of the coolest olympians of all time.
Red Gerard's supporters in Pyeongchang were shotgunning beers Sunday morning on the way to the mountain. Then he won a gold medal. Sounds like a good day. https://t.co/I1D8cN19Wa pic.twitter.com/yzNSkKhgBW

Winning gold and crushing beers. Don’t think it can get any better than that. On top of the kid being on cloud fucking nine right now, dude’s got the coolest name maybe in the history of names. Red Gerard. I wonder if his parents knew he was gonna be a stud giving him a name like that. Im gonna go out on a limb and say yes, as “Getting Gerarded” was probably coined long before his olympic win the other day. Whole family are a bunch of rockstars. I don’t know if he is in any more events, but I NEED more Red Gerard, especially with the way my Blackhawks are playing right now, I need some positive sports stories in my life right now.
