After the crippling loss to Illinois, I left Nebraska for dead, the Cornhuskers responded with a win over Penn State, a fellow bubble team and have been given new life. They need a win this afternoon to keep their hopes alive. Michigan struggled mightily with a sub-par Iowa team last night, playing like that against Nebraska would be the gift the Huskers need.

Penn State knocked off Northwestern, albeit in unconvincing fashion yesterday to advance to the Quarterfinals against their favorite team, Ohio State. As B-Fox mentioned in his Big Ten Tournament preview, Penn State is the nation’s best team when playing Ohio State. It is difficult to beat a team three times, but Tony Carr might just be the guy to get it done.

Trae Young is still a person and might have gotten his swagger back. Kind of. He was great against K-State and then struggled against Baylor shooting 7-20 from the field. OU needs Young to create for his team more than they need him to drop 50. When he is distributing, it opens space for him to make his plays and hit some shots. Defense is also key as they lost earlier this season at Iowa State giving up 87 points.

People forget: Gordon Bombay only coached the Ducks because it was a court order.
