Bubble Games to Watch: March 1

We’ve been waiting for it, folks, and it is finally here.


Xavier with a huge road win at St. John’s puts them into the bubble conversation and drops the Johnnies down a bit. Nebraska is officially dead while Wofford just keeps winning. The games out West did not go well for our bubble teams as Arizona State got obliterated by Oregon, San Francisco lost at home to San Diego, and even Washington lost to winless Cal.

Rhode Island at Dayton 6pm CT ESPN 2

Don’t look now but the Flyers are making a run at the tournament after winning 7 of their last 9 games. They have a slim chance to get into the Last Four in category and play at home, but there’s still a chance. They have three very winnable games remaining, win all of them and there’s a discussion to be had.

Lipscomb at North Alabama 6pm CT ESPN+

The Bisons head to North Alabama, a new Division 1 team that has actually played pretty well in conference play in year one. The Lions have a chance to play spoiler as the top spot in the Atlantic Sun is on the tonight. Lipscomb has the best chance at an at-large in this conference but can really only afford to lose to Liberty. L
