Bubble Games to Watch: March 4

In a good Sunday of games, we saw Louisville and Temple take care of business against inferior opponents while St. John’s fell at DePaul. Max Strus was outstanding scoring 43 points in the win for the Blue Demons. The loss isn’t great for the Johnnies, but I don’t think they have to worry just yet. We’ve got a lighter slate again today as well as the first of 32 conference tournaments starting up with the Atlantic Sun getting underway.

By virtue of winning and seemingly everyone else losing, the Orange are in really good shape right now and could even play their way out of the 8/9 game. A win here would certainly do it.

Texas at 11 Texas Tech 8pm CT ESPN

Shaka Smart’s team picked up a much needed win Saturday over Iowa State. The win gets the Longhorns out of the immediate bubble danger. A road win at Texas Tech would secure their bid, a loss doesn’t really hurt them.

It is another huge opportunity for the Frogs who have lost back-to-back games. This team really needs another quality win to pad their resume and rise above the rest of the teams that can’t stop losing.
